This is beautiful Moreton Island. I took the boys on a day cruise to Tangalooma Wrecks this week.

This is beautiful Moreton Island. I took the boys on a day cruise to @tangaloomaislandresort earlier this week. We snorkeled around The Wrecks and spent many hours swimming in the crystal clear waters that surround the island. I even managed to get a few quick pictures with my drone. It’s been eighteen months since we visited our favourite island and former home (we lived at the Cape Moreton lighthouse for five years) and it was wonderful to be back, if only for the day! ~ Keiran.

Cast away. And pretending, just for a couple of hours, to be like Tom Hanks on my very own island (albeit with a slightly lighter and 'whiter' beard)! This is Hays Inlet near the bridge to Redcliffe. I launched my @kayaks2fish kayak from Brighton Park and spent a couple of hours exploring this fascinating area. A beautiful morning for a paddle! I was up early and on the water before sunrise today. The Boondall Wetlands were alive with the sounds of birdsong, the water seemed like glass and the first rays of sunlight were so warm and soothing. The weekend wrap. Lots of family time spent outdoors, enjoying some gorgeous winter weather (Queensland style). We enjoyed a family paddle through the Boondall Wetlands in our new @kayaks2fish kayak (yep, we managed to all squeeze into the one kayak!). We spent a lazy afternoon down along the Sandgate foreshore, whilst the kids played on the beach and ran around on the tidal flats at sunset. We enjoyed a sunny Sunday morning by the water and photographing my favourite tree at Brighton. Tonight's magnificent sunset show over Lake Samsonvale near #Brisbane. The boys and I were treated to a most beautiful scene! I took a day off today from working on the bus, instead enjoying a sunrise kayak in the Boondall Wetlands, a picnic lunch and splash about at Cedar Creek with the boys, and then this incredible sunset at the lake tonight! A big thank you to everyone for their supportive comments and encouragement on my last post. Escaping the Brisbane heat yesterday! We found a perfect little swimming spot at Cedar Creek near Samford. The water was simply delightful! It's the school holidays and I'm trying to find the balance between getting our bus conversion project done and creating a few adventures and experiences for the boys.
