Bunk beds be built in Bronte the bus!
Well okay, they’re not quite finished yet. We still need to secure them to the walls, floor and ceiling. And the bunks will have plywood walls at each end, with some sort of plywood section with foot holes along part of the side (for ladder and cubby house). But the bones are built and we’re pretty happy with that! ~ Keiran.

They are fantastic mate! Great work. They look so good. It’s so exciting seeing the updates. Must be such bloody hard work, but the satisfaction on each change coming together much be so rewarding. Excellent @keiranlusk @talesfromthewild @littleearthstories

@sgandb Thank you! They turned out surprisingly well!
@themotherofreinvention Oh indeed! Super excited! We found a small mattress to test the bunks and the boys took turns to try it out!
@suewhit Thank you Sue! I’m pretty stoked with how things are turning out so far!
@mollysgardenmagnolia Thank you! It seems really slow to me but I guess I’m living and breathing the project 24 hours a day! 🙂

@erickavari Thank you most kindly Erick! Enjoying the project but can’t wait to finish it! 🙂
@the_minor_key Thanks so much Alex! Just determined to get the project done as quickly as possible, so that we can sell the house and get rid of the mortgage!
@jean_paul.r Thank you! Yes, definitely getting excited about the project now!
@natt_loui Thanks so much mate! You’re right about the satisfaction being rewarding. It is so great to see the idea and design coming to life slowly! Hope you’re plodding along okay with rest and recovery!
Wow, it’s looking amazing, Keiran!
@talesfromthewild I hear you there. Seems like it’s never done.
@talesfromthewild it’s great seeing it come together from my point of view. I can’t imagine how rewarding it would be for you all! Recovery is good, hard but I’m walking every day mate & its best feeling ever. Thank you for your thoughts. Keep up the great work mate, love seeing Bronte come to life!
@xxajmxx
wow. you guys are so super clever x
@nicolettaconstanti Hey thank you so much Nic! I am really enjoying the creative side of the project (building things with wood, working with paint and timber stains). But lots of crazy learning to do yet with things like solar systems and plumbing! Wish me luck!
@talesfromthewild good luck!!
G’day mate, bunks look great. Im no carpenter or anything but are they alittle ‘over engineered’? Ill be building mine real soon so this is good inspo.
@sawyerbus Haha! Yes, they are definitely ‘over engineered’ but I wanted solid bunk beds that the boys couldn’t break, no matter how much climbing and jumping they did!
@talesfromthewild – Oh okay good, I was thinking maybe the way I was thinking to build them was going to be way too weak aha.
@sawyerbus Haha, nah.. ours are definitely over the top! Have fun building yours!
Proper.
