Happy Monday and a big hello to our new followers! Thank you for getting behind our bus adventure... it is really lovely to know so many people are cheering us on! I thought I'd share a little about us and our motivation for choosing #buslife. We are Keiran, Sam (that's me!), Ellery (six) and Aubrey (three). We used to live on a remote Cape on a national park island. Nature immersion and a good work-life balance were our normal. We did that for five years. 18 months ago we found ourselves transplanted to the city, struggling to keep our heads above the waterline with our first mortgage, a single income and two small people. They say it often takes extreme discomfort in your world to create change... well this is us! Life became quite hard, with little of the joy we once had in plenty. This is a big part of our why. We aim to create more time for us, less work (and a better split between K and I of the paid work and parenting), and more horizon in our days! We're kind of making it up as we go along . There are lots of unknowns (possibilities!) but it feels so good to be carving out change of our own making. Thanks for following along.

From a chance viewing on Landline, to all those beautiful Morton Island photos…now I’m coming on this wonderful adventure with you. How I envy your bravery and commitment to life.

@wovenspirit thanks Mietta!! Now we are committed to a new path there is more of a sense of flow and ease… it’s been the same when I’ve leapt before, lots of serendipity and support… it’s been a long time coming for us and will be a while yet before we’re underway, but it’s so good to be into the process. xxx

What a wonderful adventure for you all. I’m so glad to know you’re following your wild natures … some people just aren’t meant to live in cities and “normal” lives! Come park your bus at our place some time (well, once council fixes the road so you can drive a bus on it!),

@petalplum thanks Ellie for your kind words and oh my gosh, we’d love to come visit when we are rolling! It’s definitely a challenge in this world to heed our wild natures, but we are endlessly inspired by others such as yourselves doing it and choosing it daily. xx

Yes! So excited for you guys. I somehow completely missed this chapter in your lives. Grrr. Haven’t seen you in my feed for far too long. So excited I’ve stumbled on this news. Best of luck with the conversion. Bring on more adventures!!! (And please come and visit us in Melbourne one day soon )

@airstreamfamily Thanks so much Sonia! Lovely to hear from you (and neither of us have seen you in our feeds for far too long either… thanks Instagram!). Yes! We are currently burning the candle at both ends (you know the story), trying to build our future house in a bus whilst juggling kids and school and work and a diminishing bank balance. Will definitely let you know when Bronte the Bus rolls into Melbourne some time in the not-too-distant (hopefully) future!
